After years out of the public eye, he has vowed to write only true and meaningful lyrics at any cost. He has said that back working a day job has been a gift to put him back in touch with real life again.
"While you wait for the new Mumford and Sons record, give
your ears over to this fellow Brit with his folky/punky/passionate
edge. Truly for any fan of the sons of Mumford & songs with
truth and passion at their core, delivered with fire in the belly."
"Your CD arrived today and has just drop kicked the new Green Day album off my
I Tunes playlist. Awesome songs. " Mark, Manchester, England.
The other good news is that his lyrics are as clever as John Mayer
thinks he is. More so, actually. The EP tells a coming-of-age story
for someone in his early- to mid-twenties. Its that spot in life where
you know you should be doing something important, and you want
to, but you just don't know what that is yet. This CD is a must have.

"He reminds me of Paul Weller mixed with Tom Waits.
He's passionate and is a force to be reckoned with when
there's a guitar in his hands. The closest experience
i've had is seeing Neil Young alone onstage. THAT good.

I am absolutely blown away by your music. Just learning about you
but this is the best stuff ive heard in a while. Keep making music!

So I'm stuck in Philadelphia for work, feeling pretty sorry for myself eating dinner alone so not to deal with anyone and generally sour thinking of how I am going to have to move back in with my dad since I took a 70% pay cut this year. Its raining, cold and generally miserable. I've got my face down to the ground listening to my ipod when shuffle puts on your song. The chorus kicks in as I'm walking on a footbridge over the freeway, and I throw my hands up in the air, put my face into the rain and smile. Thanks for realigning my perceptions again, and for writing music that means more to everyone than you can imagine.

I first heard you on Pandora as I was bumming some tunes from Damien Rice and you came on as an option, or rather as similar. While I in no way think you are. Your voice transcends the pain of Damien's to this greater place. A place where passion burns through to a soul.

"These are amazing lyrics and you really just wrench emotions from
me with the way you sing them. Sometimes a really good day can
begin simply by hearing a new really great song. Thanks."
